TREC is a non profit corporation with a 30 year
history at Third Church. In the 1970's TREC owned more that 28 houses
and sold those houses to first time-home owners who had bad credit
ratings. TREC supplied mentor-volunteers to help these homeowners establish
ownership skills.
In early 2005 with funds virtually depleted, but economic development still
as a passion, the Board of TREC decided to transfer its not-for-profit status
to a new Board. This was accomplished in April. The new board is in the process
of establishing goals and objectives.
